Access
Presently we do not comply with the Disabilities Discrimination Act 1995 and are therefore unable admit groups or individuals who would rely on wheelchair access and disabled facilities. The church does have plans in place to comply with the Act but we are unlikely to be compliant by October 2004.
Please contact the church office in advance if you, or your companions, have a query concerning the type of access required and we should be able to suggest alternative places of worship that we understand comply with the requirements of the Act.

Price List: Rates are subject to use, we do not charge VAT.

What we offer: A friendly, helpful staff, including our live-in Custodian, are ready to provide assistance regarding the exclusive needs of clients.

The building has rooms that provide flexibility suited to the specific requirements of each client. Please ask about additional tables and chairs.

Where are we?

Underground (Tube): The church is on the west side of Tottenham Court Road halfway between Euston Road and Oxford Street. Goodge Street and Warren Street Underground stations (2 and 4 minutes walk respectively) are nearby; Great Portland Street and the Tottenham Court Road Underground stations are around a 7 to 10 minutes walk. (http://tube.tfl.gov.uk/journeyplanner/default.asp)

Bus: There is a bus stop outside the church for bus numbers 10, 73, 24, 29, and 134. (The Goodge Street Station stop is literally opposite the church for Bus Numbers 10, 24, 29, 73,134 and 390 and Night Buses N5, N10, N20, N29, N73, N253 and N279. (http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/index.htm)

Car: We are inside the Congestion Charge Zone, so please make sure that you pay your charges promptly (http://www.cclondon.com/). Car parking at the church during the working day from Monday to Saturday is heavily restricted and our advice is to either use the National Car Parks in Berners Street, Cleveland Street or Woburn Place (neither are shown on this map). (http://www.ncp.co.uk) Street parking is available during the week after 18.30 hours Mondays to Saturdays and all day on Sundays; users of this advice should seek confirmation from the authorities as this advice may change.

Terms and Conditions of Rental:

To all users of the facilities of The American Church in London

It is our pleasure to make our facilities available to you for use by your organisation. There are just a few considerations that we ask you to keep in mind as you use our building.
Security: Owing to the location of the church and the difficulty of monitoring all of the comings and goings, clients are cautioned about leaving anything unattended. We cannot accept responsibility for damaged, lost or stolen property.
Health & Safety: a register of attendees should be kept by a nominated individual to record the name and time of entry and exit from the meeting room. In the event of a fire or emergency the register should be given to the Business Manager or the Caretaker so that the Emergency Services can be reasonably certain that the building has been evacuated. Please note that we are unable to accept wheelchair users into the building, as we do not have suitable facilities presently.
Bookings and Times. Spaces are available from 09.00 to 17.00 hours and from 18.00 to 21.45 hours Monday to Saturday. We are closed for business on Sundays.
Reservations: When reserving space in the church building, please include in your schedule the full time required for room preparation, and cleaning at the end of the rental. If there are any special requirements for chairs and tables, please consult the Business Manager well in advance.

Deliveries may also be made at the rear of the building in Whitfield Street. (It is possible to stop there just long enough to load / unload.) Please arrange for a representative, or representatives, from your organisation to meet the delivery during your booking. Church staff will not accept deliveries on behalf of other companies.
Storage: Please consult the Business Manager about suitable storage; all the spaces are required for our Sunday School program.
Tidying: Sufficient dustbins are placed in all the spaces; please use them and do not leave trash lying around. If you move equipment in the spaces, please replace it at the end of your stay.
